Looking for some suggestions and opinions on davits. The type of boating we do generally involves anchoring overnight. Having the inflatable along is a must for fishing and going ashore. Currently have Weaver Davits and was very happy with the system. Then we got the current boat with an extended swim platform. The long standoff brackets for the Weaver system would get in the way when trying to dock or exit/enter the boat at the marina.

I don't want hanging davits. Thought the Hurley system looked good. I could keep the dingy inflated and the motor mounted. If mounted carefully, it looks as if we would have a foot or two between the dingly and the transom without more than three feet of dingy overhanging the swim platform.

Do any of you folks have the Hurley Davits or know of a similar system? Any problems with workmanship or operation? With the inflatable overhanging the swim platform, any problems securing it in rough seas? Would appreciate any help with my decision!
