Hi, I have a 2003 Pathfinder 22 that I bought new and has only been serviced by the dealer. The boat has a Teleflex SeaStar HC-5345 front cylinder that has two seals which are both leaking. My neighbors mechanic looked at it and said the chromed tube was scored (sp) and changing the seals would not do any good. He said it looked like someone had used emery cloth to clean up the tubes and ruined the tube. He recommended buying extra hydraulic fluid and keep topping off since a replacement tube if you can get it is $300. A replacement unit is $600. Help?
