Because I wanted to watch my Redskins. Stupid move... Weather was beautiful. Bay was flat with gentle breezes.

Who was out today?

Drank Rum today and thought about taking the boat out of the water...I still have some Rum left, so I have some more thinking about winterizing to do...

Was out thru Kent Narrows and up the Chester yesterday. Beautiful afternoon.....love it when football is on TV, no one out on the water....had it all to ourselves...Soem of the best boating on the Chesapeake is in September and October, even the odd day in November

Was thinking of taking the boat across river to watch the game as well. Watched it at two of our watering holes here at the beach instead. Should have gone boating...

How do the skins lose to a team, who hasn't won a frickin' game since December 2007? Arghhh!

The skins suck!

There's always the other end of the parkway...hahaha

Took the boat out on Sunday and watched the game on Sat. TV. Awesome invention! Still made the family happy!and I got to watch football...

Nothing better than football on the hook with a cool breeze comming through and the water slapping on the hull.

I too use my boat this time of year while everyone is locked to the dock and in a cabin somewhere watching football I am out enjoying the beautiful dog days of summer.

This (Fall) is the best boating season on the Chesapeake. I've got 120 hours on the engines so far this year (gotta change that oil soon). Sadly, last weekend was the first weekend since April we didn't take to boat out due to rain and some family events. This weekend we had plans, but have a death in the family and the funeral to attend to (although Saturday looks pretty rainy at this point too). With luck, though, we'll get back out each weekend through early to mid-November. And with more luck some in December (the Christmas boat parade in Baltimore is usually fun to go overnight and see). And if it's a crappy and cold winter, that just mean's we'll be at the ski place more often! (that's the good thing about MD, if it's a mild winter we can boat, and if not, ski!)
