I guess the ice is breaking up...

UMMMM, NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!

I do enough working in the cold weather during the week I don't want to play in the cold on weekends.

BRING ON THE HEAT!!!!

Both sports are fun! I am off on a snowmobile holiday this weekend...not withstanding the 30 minutes it takes to get dressed, sleds are a hoot. I have good news for everybody, there will be an early spring this year. The birds NEVER lie

Randan,

No place better to spend time in the winter than Orwell. Family use to have a camp off County Route 2, just past the CCC Road. More than once I shoveled 5 feet of snow off the roof only to back 2 or 3 weeks later and shovel another 5 or 6.

Having rain right now with fog making visibility less than .25 of a mile. Forecast is for a little cooler with snow Thursday night and into Friday. Should be a nice weekend (for snowmobiling that is!!)

Personally, I still can't wait for boating season. CNY Boat Show started today. That's my Friday night plan.

Ice What Ice...

OK, someone has to say it.....

What is all that wet looking stuff next to docks? ;)

If I had to take a guess, I'd say it looks a lot like di-hydrogenmonoxide!

Bob thanks for the nice picture of my new slip. By the way did you happen to notice that there were 2 jetskis left it the water over the winter. One on a sport dock and the other in a slip what were you thinking?

Sweetness, Thats looks like one heck of a camp you have there,my property is in boonville (more land than house though)actually just a small cabin my grandfather and dad built in the 60's no electric or water,I keep dreaming of building a house like that there someday.
That garrage looked awsome with all the sleds in it ,thanks for the pictures they put a smile on my face .have fun up there this weekend maybe we will meet up on the trails one of theese days if you like I go up by myself and am always looking for people to ride with because I have alot of time off durring the winter.

Hey FREEDOM, we dont need any ice for drinks up there ...we just put the booze outside for a few. You looked like your starting to turn native in that picture holding up the lobster, glad to see you having fun man.

Dave,
No I did not see any jet ski's on G-Dock, unfortunetly I was not realy looking at any other docks at the time. Just looking to see if G-Dock had any pilings that may have been pushed up from the ice.

What slip did you get? Is it on G-Dock?

Bob I see Buffer Zone left his dink on floating docks, maybe he was taking rides over the winter.

I walk the dock last week as well every thing looked OK to me. I will be at the end of D dock this season. I'm still a little up tight about docking, but I guess practice makes perfect. The Jetskis are on D dock what's left of them. They aren't meant to be left in the water for more then a few days I can't believe someone would leave it in for the winter.

Dave you got spoiled being on the service dock, we have faith in you. Alway's alot of help at marina when coming in, that's what I look for.

Spoiled? Nothing like going out for a ride and coming back you someone in your spot but no one around for hours and having to move there boat so you can dock in your so called slip. And don't even get me started about the loud go fast guys who think they own the place, they seemed amused about the fact that other people can't have a conversation within a 1/4 mile when they are coming or going. No I want miss the service Dock.

Lots of people to help you on D dock accept they are always drunk
and are no good at tug of war! Thats why it's called D dock.
(Running for cover now!!!!)

We Can't all be on G dock. There are no more available slips for my beam left. I've been on C dock for the last seven years and met some nice people I hope to enjoy D dock as much and I hope to make some new friends,

Well I'm off to try my luck at sanding the bottom some more. It's a big dirty job I figured I would do a little at a time.

The Clock is ticking!
