I am reposting this from the NBR forum for those of you who have not yet "anchored up" as an example of how this forum provides Value, Contacts and good business practice in a comfortable non confrontational venue.
Do I get full value for my $20 a year on this forum? You betcha!

Well, as you know I have been looking for a bigger boat for a while now.
Yesterday I flew from Toronto to Newark NJ and was met there by anoher long time RO Bob Mitchell aka rbmitchell who happens to have a great 1997 3988 Bayliner MY available.

He met me at the arrivals just like the real limo guys

And we drove down to Point Pleasant to view the boat

Where we were met by our Surveyor Forum Moderator Al Prisco

Who got right to work on the survey including oil samples

While Bob and I toured the boat admiring all the things the Admiral will enjoy like a proper full gally

Ensuite head with a tub

Nice owners cabin

And I admired the layout of the lower helm and visibility for cruising

All that work was exhausting so we took a break for lunch and to discuss the findings. Al is good but he also deferrs to the Real Brains behind the operation who is also referred to as his "helper" and "dad" interchangeably.

The survey was good, with only minor issues , typical for the wear and tear on a 9 year old boat and we should have a good deal for both of us.

So now a lot of paper has to go forth and back to remove US documentation and obtain a provisional Canadian Documentation before she can come home to her new harbor but, all in all a good day was had by all.
I must say that this forum has made everything easier and the best way to say it is simply
Gentlemen dealing with Gentlemen, Thanks guys.
