Left from Stony Point to Roundout this morning. It was an interesting trip. I swear I think Hoffa floated by along with 20 pumpkins, 2 docks, a refrigerator and too many ttrees and telephone poles to count. The water actually got better once I got passed Newburgh. Still lots of stuff but it was fairly navigable.

Did you see where Catskill Marina went? I think they are still looking for it (bad joke).

A co-worker of my wife owns a condo in Catskill she had a dock and boat in the back. The first floor of the condo was trashed and the dock and boat was found in Newburgh, the boat was upside down and a total loss.

Hank glad you made it safely! Enjoy your weekend.

Thanks. Took the dingy up the creek. Could not get to the end. We could see the waterfalls and the water was gushing very hard over the top causing rapids.

Glad you made it up here ok as well, and hopefully the return trip goes smoothly also! Yes the creek is still running and muddy. But it has slowed down substantially.

Where do you dock your boat? if your on it tomorrow, maybe we'll say hi during our dingy ride.

Right now it would be a bit of a ride since she's down in Florida. We used to dock her at the RYB on the outside of the face dock. :D However we overlook the creek from the condo so we can talk to how it's looking. But this is the last Summer we'll be able to fill everyone in on the Rondout unless we buy another boat to keep up here. The condo is going to sell and we move aboard for the forseeable future.

Really congrats where will you summer? Will you stay on Florida. Sounds like a nice life I hope you guys enjoy it for as long as you can.

Yeah, your right. My dingy only has a 3 gallon tank so that's a bit of a haul. Anyway thanks for all of the advise and good luck where ever your travels take you.

Made it back in one piece. Probably not the smartest thing to attempt the trip. It was nasty on the way back. I saw two boats on the way up and about four on the return trip. I think I'll stay at port from here on in until things clear up.

At least you didn't get stuck in a debris field...

You just had to go there!

Yes. Especially because I dont have a small craft that easily maneuvers around this stuff.

At this point we are unsure but most likely Florida. Perhaps bring Freedom North, who knows.

Dan, I wish you two all the best in your odyssey - you guys really know how to live it up!!!

Anchor, glad you made it back and forth, its a shame what Irene and Lee did to our beautiful Hudson. My boats are diagonally across the creek from Dan's condo, and thankfully did ok in the storms, but still, this was just dreadful...
