Was up at Torches yesterday for lunch with the admiral and was very pleasantly surprised by the lack of ice in the river. I was expecting Newburgh Bay to be pretty much choked up with ice, but it was virtually clear. Only a few very small chunks floating down river with the tide. C'mon Spring.

It depends on which way the tide is flowing. If you watch the PBM webcam, at times there is no ice, a few hours later, the river is choked with ice.
