WOW !!!!....Now THAT'S a GREAT DEAL....I wish I was on the West Coast.

Which reminds me....I assume your Boat is all straightened out now? How many Beers did that cost ya?

We're going there over the 4th of July, and didn't get those rates! Outstanding! It's a really beautiful, modern facility too.

Our boat's previous owner berth the boat at that marina. We chatted with the harbor master before seeing the boat, he did say he would like use to consider keeping the boat there if we purchased it. They spent a ton of money fixing up the place.

The seller told us the rates when WAY up. Yes it was nice and in a great location. But it was pricey. This was one year ago. They invested a ton of money as the economy was booming.

At the gas dock when we fueled up I asked why the marina was so empty. Remember this was a year ago... At the peek of the crash they were losing a boat a day to foreclosures and many others departed seeking a lower cost.

We just returned from Sausalito for the weekend, they had plenty of space and it was not very busy - considering how nice the weather was.

It is the economic storm; not the weather.

Yes. And the marina operators should price things according to the market, not according to the overhead. They are just pricing themselves out of business. IMHO
