I'm out of the water and winterized.

The Mrs and I were able to enjoy half a season with our new to us Formula.

The Formula is a pig now, but she will be cleaned up and ready to be a head turner next season. I have a laundry list of work that is going to be done to get her back into tip top shape.

I came out yesterday morning, but not before a nice long ride at sunrise. It was beautiful out there.
I generally like to stay in until early November, but there is too much going on in the coming weeks, and I have to get in a few College visits with my daughter.
Finished power washing the bottom, and pulling the props before the skies opened up on me and I got drenched from the rain.
Still have to do the winterizing, and have a short list of other stuff I'd like to take care of if I can before it gets wrapped.
We're leaving the fishing boat in for another 3 or 4 weeks so we can get a few more days in.

I am out.
Came out this Saturday,
Got threw my whole list of things to do and am happy with all.
Great weekend to winterize and clean up boat.
Now Tony from AMC will take away bridge enclosure, completely redone and new for spring! $$$$$
Daryll from Unique upohlstery will take away combing pads, redone and new for spring!
I have to take off anchor roller and have repaired.
Take down radar and Sat Tv to remount higher on new bracket.
Clean and wrap and I am done!!

Looking forward to 2015 Boating Season.

Oh, will post pics of props sprayed with Petit Barnacle Paint. props were amazingly clean, no barnacles and the paint stayed on except for very edges. Actually very few to no barnacles this year.

SO I guess I shouldn't mention a boat ride I took Saturday for a few hrs ......

Still some boating to be done ....

Rob

Not coming out until after Thanksgiving. Hoping for a little more fishing before then.

We went out on Saturday for a ride, it was gorgeous.

Came back to the marina for an impromptu Doktoberfest party. Had a great time!

I would love to stay in longer but certain things drive me to come out.

- Water off 11/5, so basically no way to flush motors or wash boat after that.
- They store boats behind my slip. Very annoying but obviously my boat goes behind someone's too.
- Admiral hates the cold!
- I hate working on the boat when it's too cold or windy. Changed IPS oil in wind and it was blowing all over until I made windshield to keep it in the pan!

Glad to hear you guys are still enjoying it! Come pick me up! LOL!

Some years are better than others as far as staying in and getting any use out of it. Weather, especially wind seems to blow my weekend plans a lot and during the week, work can get in the way. I have had years when I get 3-4 fishing days in after October and others with zero.

Did not get out this past weekend with some family obligations, but was nice to go down and sit on it Sunday afternoon.

we hauled 10/25 here on the North Coast.. some managed to get a last fling trip to the Bay.. but it was windy and rough..
we're inside heated and I opted to go back on Sunday and buff/polish both sides b4 they pack them in around me this week..
otherwise, I'd never get to it till spring.. they just get them way too close in there..

Mine is ready to wrap. Hate to come out this early, but it sure was nice to be able to winterize, clean, pull the drives, and polish the sides and not be freezing.
The day I came out turned ugly on me, but the great weather in the days after that more than made up for it.

I'm finally out and winterized. I think I'm going to do it a little earlier after the weather we had the last couple weeks! I was supposed to get hauled last Saturday but my canal was frozen and my boat was covered in ice after attempting to give it one last cleaning for the season the previous afternoon and not realizing quite how cold it was... I had to abandon the cleaning attempt when everything froze over and the boat and my dock were turning into a skating rink. Delayed a week and was able to give it a good cleaning Thanksgiving morning with snow coming down lightly but no icing on the deck :) Next year think mid-November will be late enough!

We took the smaller boat out last Saturday. My brother braved the cold bay and ran it around to the ramp with my uncle, I met them and then did the bulk of the pressure washing.
It was cold, hands were numb, but the boat is small enough that it went pretty quick, and it was worth it to extend the season and get those last few days of fishing in.
Can't wait till March to get it back in and start fishing again.
