...going to work on gorgeous days that I called in sick today. A medical professional recommended that I take it easy today and felt that the best way to do that was to hang out on my boat!
I called in for half a day!
By the time I get thru emails adn a 7:30 meeting, I might as well get credit for a half a day.
Done now! Oops, not quite half!
John, Yes it is. I've been on vacation prepping Freedom for the last week, and this coming friday is my last week of vacation. Then I go in on Friday and sign some papers and I take off on the longest labor day weekend I think I will have.
Yup, and don't you know we wish we were getting one. They stopped all of that years ago. The best I got for nearly 30 years was a cheapo digital camera worth about 100 bucks. I know, it's better than a poke in the eye or some other spot. And hang in there!
John H, this is off the subject, but someone wants to trade me a 2006 chapparell 29' plus cash for my 42C. Are you happy with your boat. Thanks Steve McGuire
The funny thing is I was really sick today with a cough and major head cold and had to go to work for two important meetings and a 3:00 conference call. The call I could have taken from the boat, oh I mean home, but not the meetings. The throat tickle started Friday at work, then got worse with a cough etc… Aside from that I had a great weekend anyway; we hung on Fire Island at Kismet then a raft-up in a cove. I thought the vodka would have killed the germs but they were strong. Still feel like crap and have to go in tomorrow. I will take a sick day when I am better and it is sunny.
Hey Chris hope all is well. We sold the M3 since it was going to be laid up for quite a while! Annapolis is not really on the list since the boat show will most likely be in full swing when we head south. Oh well.
Actually this retirement is rough stuff. Working on the boat all day... Tight spaces etc..
