We had a serious injury on our Commodore last week and I'm letting you know so that maybe you can prevent it on your boat. Our 14 year old nephew slipped on the top step that leads down to the Swim platform and as he came down hard his left forearm was impaled on the rope cleat , Which those of who know the style of this model the rope cleat is on a angle along side of the steps. Our nephew received 5 stiches internally and 13 externally on his arm and we are waiting and hoping he regains full movement to his thumb and the doctors believe he will . So before he was released from hospital I put antislip tape on the steps and a rubber cap on the cleat. We boat on the Barnegat Bay and my thanks go out the Coast Guard , N.J State marine police and the Lifeguards and staff on the Island Beach state park as their response was nothing short of Fantastic and to The two other boats who helped with their jet ski and inflatable a big Thank you .
