I have a 25 pontoon boat. It currently have a porta potti. I does not hold enough for more then a couple of hours on the water. At times we spend 2-3 days on the boat, and we have to work it around finding bathrooms. I would like more flexabilty.
I am considering adding a marine toilet with a holding tank. I think I could put a 10-15 gallon holding tank on the port side, but the toilet would have to go on the starboard side. routing a hose from the toilet to holding toank would be about 12' of hose. I could draw water from the river, it would be about a 3' foot draw.
I have a couple of questions:
Can a manual toilet draw the water from that height?
Can a manual toilet push the waste that far?
Can the holding tank be on the same level as the toilet?
What do I need to do to install a holding tank?
