In preparing to close on our new boat, I had the ominous task of procuring insurance for our investment. The new boat is a Larson 274. The old boat, which she is replacing, was a Maxum 1700XC. There are a myriad of differences between the two vessels, one of which being that I was comfortable insuring the Maxum via Bob's Bank account. Not so with the new addition. This led to some amazingly shocking quotes from everyone I spoke to regarding rates. Thankfully, just prior(moments from it actually) to paying the lowest of the extortionists fees, I was steered to State Farm. I am happy to report that they were more that 50% lower than the next closest quote. Also, they were the only ones that automatically included the Bahamas in thier coverage without additional costs. Anyone that has been robbed and did not check with them should look into getting quoted and switching.
