Flynn's has been around for 70 years, and known as a decent hot spot for a bit of a younger partying crowd. We end up going to Flynn's once or twice a season. This past weekend I noticed a bit of a change, maybe it was just the night, but there were more 30-40 something than usual, and maybe some older. Of course there was the young blood eye candy for both sexes to google at. The 5:00 reggae band was good and their finally Big Bamboo is always a hit.

I got talking to some boaters that I recognized, and found many were die hard TJ'er's and are still weeping the loss. One guy who has the boat Steve's Spanish Princess, has locked in a spot, wonder what that cost!!.

So with the lack of TJ's, when in the mood, I think we may end up there again soon for a few reasons.

It's another decent destination to go to.
Food only so so, I never found it that horrible, but not great.
Nice views from the dock and their decks
A few other near by restaurants / bars to walk to, including a hardy trek to Ocean Beach.
Close walk to the beach
If discreet you can use the near by hotel's pool near the beach.

Some of the less desirable points:
Very tight docking
Can be a bit young and out of hand at times; don't be surprised if you wake up to find someone sleeping on your swim platform or even in your cockpit.
Food / Service can be hit or miss. But I found it mostly acceptable.
If not on an inside slip, it can get very bouncy.

Did I say tight docking…..
