Twin 454 Mercruisers with V-drives. Starboard engine-starts every time, no problems. Port engine-will start the first time. Shut it off and nothing. Turn the key and all the guages come alive, not even a click off the starter. Using a multimeter, have 12 plus volts at the battery, key, and at the starter. The only thing I can think of would be a nuetral safety switch. Is the switch part of the transmission or the shifter (Morse)? I should be able to bypass it if needed, but how? It's 80 degrees out here in Southern Cal and I can't use the boat.
