This will be our first spring with our 2001 Sea Ray Sundancer 310 (our fist boat for that matter). The mechanical springizing is going to be done by the marina but I wanted to handle the hull and deck prep myself (out side of bottom paint).
My questions is this; what are the critical steps that need to completed. As well what type of product is used for each step (ie. boat soap, cleaner wax, polish, etc.). Please feel free to share your brand prefence, but what I am looking for is generic categories for products needed for each step; and any gotchas that might apply.
Finally if there are any tools that are needed or make the job easier I would love to know about them as well (orbital polisher).
In the event that you scare we away from doing this myself what is a good per ft. price to have this done by a professional?
