Well after 19 years with the same company my career is over there and I am moving on to a new job. Details about new job are top secret as I don't want anyone from old company to know yet. I did not leave on best terms.

Anyway, I have 3 weeks off, then 1 week at new job, then 2 week boat trip, then back to new job. Doing house chores now for all those things I have neglected.

So wish me luck and lets go boating. Hope to get to Watch Hill this weekend, and next and next. Figure I need to boat now cause I am gonna have to bust butt at new job to make a good showing.

Who is going out this weekend?

"I did not leave on best terms."

I know the whole story, and just wanted to say the reason
"I did not leave on best terms." is not due to anything Dave did, he was used as a scape goat and got f-cked. Any of you that know Dave, know he is a stand up guy and very dedicated. It makes me sick to see this kind of crap. It is not in Dave's best intrest have the details posted on a public forum at this time, so don't ask him about the details. I only mentioned this because Dave's post could be interpeted as he was the reason for his termenation.

Dave....... don't forget to send Walter the check........:) :) :) :)

Good Luck with the new job...........

Knock em alive in your new position.

That's one reason I always worked for myself, although I'm getting close to firing myself these days.

So Dave, which Chippendales will you be working at?

Who told? Damn.
Yeah they called me and said you were getting a little fat and wrinkled and wanted me to replace you.
Sorry about that. Perhaps you should get less sun!

Dave, you did good leaving on your terms. I saw the writing on the wall but after 19 years and surviving 4 major mergers I figured that I would dodge another bullet with the new management. But they stuck their own A$$H’s in and the stock went from high $30’s to below $7. Having the later part of the summer off was ok, but when fall turned to winter, I got a bit dismayed. I was sure glad to land something before things got real tight.

Utilizing my management and technical skills was the easy part, leaving Radio and changing industries has been a big challenge. I will always be looking over my shoulder and that advice is good for anyone in corporate America. Keep that resume crisp and ready to send out to many job boards.

If I see you at Watch Hill this weekend, we can shoot the breeze over a few cold ones.

I heard it was Hooters.

Looks like Watch hill is out this weekend, wife has to fly to San Diego on Sunday.
Day trip on saturday.

Brad, I hear ya. A-holes seem to flock together and my old place has more than its share. I clearly see it crumbling and that was one of the reasons I left, plus they rail roaded, plus they are doing terrible, plus they are idiots....sheesh, I sure had enough reasons!

Dunno...maybe just hemlock, try and back into the beach, put out a rear anchor, see if water is decent to take Gizmo off to beach.
Got any other ideas? Sore Thumb?

How about I hire you as my Captain on my boat......then I can just sit....and do nothing.

Deal! U pay for beer, gas, and food and I will drive you where ever you like!

DEAL............

But could you handle a " big " boat ....:) :)
