Well, those photos make the cost of gas, slip fees, and all the work we do to enjoy boating all worth it. Seeing the photos of this event in person will make any skeptic a believer...thanks Mike for a sober and envigorating reason to spend what we do on a lifestyle that we love, no matter how expensive life gets,
Cheers!

Hogan,
Very Nice!

Can't wait to see some of those beautiful sunsets on vacation.

Beautiful shots thanks for sharing Mike.
best whishes, Jon

Now thats just not fair. Rubbing it in your there and Im not! Just not fair....
Thats Ok after tonight it will be 5 nights on the boat for a long weekend..
The view really does make it all worth it!

Not to worry, Starry Night, I'll post plenty from when I'm on vacation

Butch, we have been on the boat since last Thursday night - and will continue to live on it until July 20th!

Some nasty weather just missed us last night, I went thru it on the ferry ride home between Yonkers and Nyack - saw a small sailboat get hit by lightning just south of the TZ Bridge.

Hogan , what did it look like happend to the boat, did it just ground out to the water, or did it look like it got fried ?
never saw that yet , and hope i never do.
What the heck do you guys do in lightning ? I deal with wind and waves but, when i see lightning i drop the antenna and run like a chicken for the closest dry land i can find.
Jon

The boat looked fine after the strike.

I agree, lightning is very scary, you don't know when or where it will hit. I always keep an eye on the sky, if it looks bad, I get on the weather radio and check my radar for storms. If I can get away from it, I will, otherwise, lower the antenna and hope for the best.

There isn't much we can do, since we have all of the hardtop hardware around us. Basically we try to avoid being up top driving when the bad weather is around.
