We are bringing the good ol' Hatt "Incentive" into Kingston tomorrow afternoon for 2 nights. Other than tomorrow night and a couple hours late Thursday morning, we'll be around; drinks served on the aft deck each late afternoon.

If anyone can come by , cool. No politics or comments on the housekeeping; she gets used hard!

You guys have some of the greatest cruising grounds of all; we are making another special detour, this time as we head south to FL, just to enjoy them. Thanks again for all the knowledge on this forum.

George

OUCH! We're heading south tomorrow!

Tarrytown and then Manasquan. We were thinking about anchoring ar Croton, but to get further down Jersey we decided to stop in at Tarrytown and pick up an hour. The weather is a bit unsettled on Thursday, but so far we think things are ok.

Best of luck and have a safe cruise. Wish we could have made it up there this year.

Yes, we feel the same way. After all, you drink good wine :D

Perhaps we'll cross paths today, Dan. We're anchored at Croton Point, waiting for the fog to lift. Don't worry, you're not missing much, company-wise as regards us.
What is your longer term itinerary? We'll head back to NYC environs Friday, eventually looking to hit Cape May by Tuesday/Wednesday. Baltimore next weekend, and so on down the coast.

George

It looks as though we will be relatively close with a chance to link up but I think at this point we are a day ahead of you. We'll keep our eyes peeled for you heading up this way.

Dan, So the big trip begins. Shame we cant hook up but you have a great trip and keep us informed. Pictures will be nice...

Dan, congrats on the trip, will you be in T-Town this evening? Did you ever get your website together?

George, you should have mentioned you were passing through, I live in Croton and could have met you at the point...by land is very, very easy, by water, I'd have to steal/borrow a boat.

Good luck to both of you on your trips!!

Good luck on the trip.

Enjoy the Bahamas, you might want to hang there a while.............like 4 years!

HA! Thanks Jonathan! You know we'd love to.

And thanks for all the well wishes everyone. Yes we are in Tarrytown tonite. All the way out against the breakwater. One way or another we wind up somewhere in Jersey tomorrow.

I have started a blog at http://danmapes.blogspot.com all you need is a gmail account if you want to post comments. Otherwise it's wide open. Suggestions are welcome and encouraged as long as the direction provided is, well you know what I mean, boating related.. I found a pretty good gpx/kml converter so I hope to be able to upload the tracks as we go.

We really are happy I broke down and put in a digital antenna/tv. There's quite a bit out there!

PS We paid 4.58 a gallon over here at Tarrytown. While Haverstraw is cheaper, we came down here since we are an hour better on the day tomorrow, and the in/out of Haverstraw would have got us a bit anyway. We only took on 50 gallons.

Dan, good luck and have a great trip! I'll keep track of your journey on the blog.

Have a great trip, Dan. Fuel up in Jersey, the prices are much lower. Tarrytown has always had the highest fuel prices around.

Give Belmar a try for fuel. I hear it's cheapest of all. :)

I read that somewhere...

Good luck on your trip, Dan!!! You will be missed in Kingston, but boy, the Bahamas sure sound great this time of year (or at least once hurricane season is over!)

George, I'll try and find you in town Thursday. I'm coming up to work on my boat, but I can pry myself away for a little while to drop by and say "Hello!"

I was thinking of jumping off the train at T-town, have a quick farewell drink, jump back on another train. Then the wife says the kids are sleeping at Grandma's so we got the night off...sorry Dan and Deb, I'm sure you understand.

Good luck with the trip, I'll be sure to book mark your site and I'm sure you'll remain active here.

Rommer, can you tell us anything more about Belmar? I hear it's one of HOGAN's favorite destinations.
