Second boat he surveyed for me, saying Al is outstanding and worth his weight in gold is an understatement. If I lived on the other end of the earth and needed a boat surveyed, Al would be the man.
I watched the surveyor that surveyed my old boat I just sold, watched Al survey my new boat, world of difference. The surveyor that surveyed my old boat was a real nice guy and had all those certifications, but certainly was not as anal or detailed like Al.

Moral of this post, you get what you pay for, and with the cost you pay for a boat, this is not an expense you want to go cheap on. Make the investment to get the right surveyor and in the long run, that investment will pay off ten fold.

Just My 2C

This post could be taken a couple ways;

1) Al did a great job checking the boat from top to bottom and found nothing major to worry about.

2) He found a boat load of problems and you are pulling out of the deal before you loose your shirt on repairs.

I hope it's 1 not 2.

not sure i would drag Al to the other end of the earth, but i did drag him to the other end (coast) of the country. well worth it.

I just noticed your reply, I'm glad to hear things worked out when do or did you get to take her home?

Thank you both Walter and Bruce, it was a pleasure working for you. The cost of a good marine survey is always justified by the findings.
