I'm sure that just like me, many of you will be enjoying this final long weekend of the summer out on the water. And with any long weekend, you can expect to see law enforcement out patrolling the busy waters.
A reminder to all, 44 states have mandatory boater education laws in place. Where will you be boating? Do you need to have a boater education certificate? If you're looking for clarification on requirements, I'll be around until 4:00 (EDT) today to answer any of your questions.

How can a boating course graduate, from 2011, obtain a replacement Boater Card from New York State? I know how to do it in FL but there's a thread here on BE asking about New York. It's the following thread in LICC

Hi jd,

Replied to the thread with a suggestion to contact the USCG Citizen Line for more information. I contacted NY State Parks and confirmed that they are NOT able to issue replacement cards from other course providers.

Hopefully he has some luck either with the flotilla or the toll free help line.
