Lake Charles and Prien Lake 11/17/2011

Winds were whippin out the North today between 15 and 20 mph. Temps. dropped from 77 deg. yesterday to 54 deg. this morning. North winds and outgoing tide brings the bait outta the marshes. Bait and fish everywhere. My and a friend caught our 30 Speckled Trout in less than 1.5 hours on Marshworks popping corks and TKO Shrimp.
We had around 2 ft. seas in Calcasieu Lake and Lake Charles, so we headed into Prien Lake to find some shelter so we could fish.

I hope you caught those upstream of the Citgo refinery. The "Chembulk New Orleans" had a solvent leak yesterday morning around 0400.

Seen that on T.V. last night. We caught them upstream. We caught early.
Specks feed ferociously at first light. That's when I like to fish most.
