Hi All

I'm looking for some information about Lake Tashmoo. Like any Draft limitations, is it anchor only or are there moorings available.

Anbody's past experience?

Thanks

Dan.

On our trip to the Cape and Islands last year we were thinking of spending a night in Tashmoo but ended up going to Cutty. I did have a very informative conversation with the Vineyard Haven Harbormaster, who also covers Tashmoo. You can call him and get all the up to date info on getting into Tashmoo. Last year there were some moorings for rent and areas one could anchor. The enterence channel is marked with private bouys and is quite shallow in spots.
Regards

Tortoise-

Check out this link for a good over view of the inlet. I would also be interested in knowing the channel depths and what, if any facilities are there. As I remember, this is pretty far walk from anywhere populated (Oak Bluffs or Vineyard Haven) on the island.

Thanks Bill, I'll give the harbor master a shout.

Thanks for the link Dan, when I get the info from the harbor master I'll post it here.

Cheers

Dan.

We anchored our 40 Ft trawler (4' draft) here for a lunch stop last year. Really nice place - no problems on a busy summer day.
Only poss. negative is that the area is small - nautically claustrophobic ???????? Otherwise fine.
