Not only did they have flotation but there was plenty of butt-floss and nasty thigh ink. Was it my imagination or was the de-watering pump dropping the output right back where it came from?
These boats were built by an Italian yard (Tecnomar) with styling from the car company. At least it looks like several of the young ladies thought ahead about safety, and had some built-in flotation devices.![]()
Is this Lamborghini the same company as the car company?
We've seen some mature folks bringing boats over to the Abacos and Exumas.Speaking of complex, I've been watching videos of the many offshore fishing boats of different styles at the Miami Boat show. All I can say is they are incredible, both the outboard and inboard vessels. Mostly my interest has been focused on boats above the 35' range. What incredible systems we have today and my hat is off to the captains who can efficiently and effectively run these boats. These are not vessels for the weekend captains. While these systems make doing a job easier it still requires that one knows how and when to use the features they provide. If I were 20 years younger I would be considering selling the condo and pulling cash out of investments and making my beach place be a boat. Damn, it is a good thing I'm too old for all that would require.
Not to mention that many have above deck seating that a person can really stretch out on. I've often slept open air nights on the water, even prefer it to ac at times. Most have a double berth and enclosed head, all AC of course. Some squeeze in and other single berth aft. Impressive designs.
I can imagine. We were at Staniel when a CC pulled in with the stereo blaring. They left the boat at the dock with the stereo up loud and went to the club. I let the office know, and they went aboard and turned it down. The owner (a frog) came down and cranked it up again.nowadays it’s all about big center consoles which have taken over both the go fast and fishing markets, as well as the cruisers. Anywhere between 40’ and 60’, some with five 500hp outboards and price tags up to $3M!
Not a great picture being a screenshot from my helm cam but a group of them arrived yesterday at Compass Cay as we were leaving… all made by MTI boats. As I was backing out and pivoting, it occurred to me it would have been a lousy time to have an engine control malfunction… must have been over $30M right there 6’ off my bow! And another couple of millions worth of plastic surgeries![]()
