I thinking of going to Rondout for a last trip of the Season I have not made any plans yet but I thought I would put it out there and see if there was any interest of a HRCC get together. Any thoughts welcome. Again I have made no plans but I would be happy to help make plans if there is an interest.

Where's your destination in the Rondout? One of the marinas, or are you going to anchor out in the bay up in Eddyville? Just wondering, because the Anchorage Marina at the head of navigation is my home port...

That would depend on how many boats want to come. If it's just a couple of boats then either the town dock or Rondout yacht basin. So far there doesn't seem to be much interest. So It may only be a couple of boats.
I know exactly where you keep your boat I've seen it several times over the past few years. I like to take the dink to the water fall I've noticed you boat because it similar to a boat my parents had, lots of good memories.

(smiles) well thanks Dave!!!

If the weather is nice, the trip up the creek to the waterfall is quite nice and serene, but then again you know that...

LOL I thought you were gonna say my boat is noticeable cause of all the junk we keep tied up around it!!!

Have a safe trip!!!

It looks like three or four boats so far if the weather is descent. The more the merrier. I'm not sure the town dock is the right choice for the size boats that are going so I thinking Rondout Yacht is the place to go.
I didn't notice any junk around your boat last time I was up your way.

Give us a shout and we'll stop by to say hello. While we are not at the RYB this year since the boat is still laid up in Charleston we are close.

Dan that would be great as we would love to hear more about your trip. Now let's just hope for some good weather.

What days are you guys going? Is this a kid freindly trip, or more of a bar crawl?

MJK

Mike it will be kid friendly as my 6 year old will be along as well. I stopped taking him into bars as he can out drink me.... :--)))

Gang, if you are coming up here, regardless of where you intend to stay, make sure you all have reservations. The Italian festival is happening. Here are details -> http://www.kingston-ny.gov/content/54/1916/default.aspx

You will have to scroll to October to see the calendar for that weekend.

Bring your Chianti and have a blast.

I guess it's time to make reservations. I'll make the call tomorrow. I was waiting to hear back from two other C dock boats (my old home). I will at least see how much room they have. Bill I'll be on the road all day if you have a minute maybe you can make the call. I'll call you in the morning.

Thanks but for that reason as well as the LOA of the boats we will go to the RYB. Otherwise we would stick out into the channel a lot from the town docks....

I called today they say they have room so as I've said before the more the merrier.

Are you going up as a group? If so what days are you going? I'm trying to see about ditching some plans.

MJK

I called Rondout yacht Basin spoke to Jeff. At the moment only two boats are commited to going two more are getting back to me this weekend. we are planning on leaveing together and hope to arrive together. The plan is two spent two nights Saturday and Sunday. Of coarse all plans depend on the weather. I plan to have it hauled shortly after my return so I am hoping for a great weekend.
