Has anyone been to this new hotel or the Scott's Restaurant at the hotel? I've curious how it is and whether or not it might be a place to recommend to friends visiting from out of town. Also, how is the dock there? If I meet my friends there and take my boat, what conditions should I be aware of? I've made several boating trips to Sacramento and know about things like the current and damn wing dams.....what other concerns at this dock?

Thanks to all who contribute to my local knowledge!

I exchanged e-mails with the restaraunt three months ago and became frustrated with the lack of knowledge of the hotel. There is a marina "next door" and if enjoying a meal there is no charge for the dock space. However, they are clear that overnight slips are not available. I would call the restaraunt in advance. As for Scott's the food is pricey but excellent.

My wife and I will be at the August meeting of the San Joaquin Yacht Club.
