Don't even think about bidding on the Lectra/San unit that is offered on eBay at the present time (from Florida). It isn't all there, and you can't get the missing parts for it any longer; it's too old. Plus, several of the top mounting screws aren't there, and the U.S. Coast Guard certification sticker is missing from it. Avoid it like the plague!

Great advice Vic, I made this mistake last year my unit a model #(LST12MC)I still have is new and has a digital looking control panel that connects with what looks like a phone cord. It was never used but I decided not to use it because I prefer the lower current consumption of the PuraSan over LectraSan. So I bought the PuraSan and Hold N Treat control (package) here at Boatfix. Well I also got the Elegance from you. Its all installed but can't really check it until we launch in early April.
Since the marina installed it I want to make sure they wired it correctly especially the transfer pump and relay. Great heads up all should heed.
Bill

Bill, if you'd like, you can send (or bring) that LSTMC in to us and well'll check it out for you (no charge). If it checks out OK, then you can put it on eBay and state that unit was checked out at Raritan's factory and found to be functioning properly. That ought to add a couple hundred bucks to what you can get for it. A good, used MC ought to easily bring you $500 on eBay.

Or, if we find there's something wrong with it, you can then opt to get it repaired - or opt not to get it repaired.

I will do that Vic. I will call 1st the unit is new and unused but I would like it checked out before I put it up for sale. Thank you. Bill

Dang, if I would have waited a couple of years I could have had yet another great deal from Bill!

Oh well. The next time my Electro Scan needs anything major, I think I'll switch out to the PuraSan. Vic, would that require a change in my Hold-n-Treat controls too?

Kurt, I'm fairly certain that the controls will remain the same, but the wiring and connections will be a little different. You shouldn't have to buy anything extra, other than the actual Purasan (PST1203).
