Vic, initial usage this year. Press flush button, green light comes on; ~13 seconds later amber lite flashes as well. With green light on, the amber light flashes 4 or 5 times and red lite comes on shutting down unit. Could this be a frozen (rusted) secondary mixer causing red light to come on & shutting down unit ? I haven't had a chance to give mixer a couple good wacks with a hammer as yet.

Sounds to me like low salt level or possibly low voltage going to the LectraSan. I have never had problems with the mixer being stuck or frozen.

C team, that's the first thing I check for. Both situations will make amber light flash but not cause red lite to come on & shut unit down. I have replaced fuse block in the past because of poor contacts but that was done fairly recently...2 years ago ?

Red light coming on and slow-blinking (once per second) = low salt, dirty electrodes, or failed electrodes.

Red light coming on and fast-blinking (twice per second) = low voltage.

In either situation, the system will shut down if the cause is not corrected.

Neither motor has anything to do with the red light coming on. And definitely DO NOT whack either motor with a hammer!!! They have ceramic magnets inside, which can break if struck suddenly - then the motor is done! Tap them with the back end of a screwdriver handle if you wish, but never use a hammer on them!

WTF kind of man machine is it if it can't be fixed with a BFH, duck tape and some WD-40? I'm really disappointed.

Vic, your reply confuses me somewhat. I thought the symptoms you stated pertained to the amber light & the red light indicated blown fuse. Or is it a matter of model type ?

Bob, a blown fuse is indicated when the red light is on steadily, not blinking. If it is blinking, other faults are indicated.

Vic, I guess I wasn't clear. After blinking green & amber lights; Red comes on (Not blinking) steady & unit shuts down. Red never blinks with this current problem. Sorry for the confusion. Hey, at least I knew what I was saying !
