Vic,
Do you know off hand what the power conumption of a brand new LectraSan is?

The Lectra/San was discontinued in 2005 and re-engineered somewhat. The current model is called the Electro-Scan. A new 12 volt unit draws 37 amps.

Earlier 12 volt versions drew between 45 and 50 amps.

Purasan, also a Type 1 by Raritan, pulls 15 amps at 12V.

It is a brand new unit. Is that 37 amps max? How long does it draw that much power? Owner trying to figure out battery drain (sailboater)

Yes, that's the maximum draw for a 12 volt unit. It draws it continually for a 2 minute period each time the toilet is flushed when you're inside the 3 mile limit. If you'll be outside the 3 mile limit, bypass it and pump the toilet directly overboard.
