Yep, a gorgeous day, nice rafting up with you, John. It suddenly got very hot on the way back across the marina. It had to have been 20 degrees warmer at PBM than it was in Croton.

I was surprised to see only 3 other boats stay out on the hook last night. I guess it must have something to do with the calendar. Had this been a July weekend you could have walked across the anchorage without getting your feet wet!

Another gorgeous day in Croton, rommer went for a swim (on purpose!)

I put my toes in, but that's it. My kids went in to their waists, and then jumped out because it was to cold.

BRRRR!

Wanna talk about cold?

Try spending 20 minutes underwater yesterday using a diving system
trying to get a line free of the space between the prop and the cutlass bearing.

Not fun. I was still wrapped in a blanket an hour later while those around me
were sweating!

Stupid move on my part but oh well, the season is early....

What is that cloud in the water to your right? Were you polluting the river?

John, I was only rafted up to you for a few hours and had nothing to it.....I swear !!! [8D][8D] LOL . Was a nice afternoon, thank you. Your dogs are awesome, I think Buddy is looking forward to hanging out with them again on the beach.

What line? How did it get there?

I bet Warren had something to do with it.

Is that the line Warren Dropped as he was pulling away from the raftup Saturday....

As much as I'd like too, ;) , I can't blame this one on Warren.

The ugly story is that the Admiral and I have a proceedure we have
been using for years when prepping the boat for a docking. Before
entering the channel I give up the helm and go and setup the lines needed.
We always setup the lines as if no one will be there to help us in. As
a result we use a rather long bowline that runs back pretty far. It gets tied off
on the farthest aft part of the side rail.

For some as yet unknown reason, she decided to create a new channel
thru the shallowest part of SPB. When I realized we were in the mud I ran back
to the helm to get us out as quickly as possible. Was able to get back out to
the deeper water but then I forgot to secure the bowline as I had left it laying
on the side gunnel.

The rest is as they say, history...

So Warren remains on the A list and I'm in the doghouse.

BTW - a 5/8 braided line is a royal PITA when it melts and fuses together...

That's why you use lines 10' shorter than the boat on the bow cleat!

I bet that line is perfect length now.

I hear ya Jonathan, I was trying to make it as easy as possible for Pattie when we come in unassisted.

They don't make them like you any more. First you get the bow thruster to make it easier for Pattie, then the longer line, what's next???
