My oldest son, Robby Miner, was killed in a traffic accident Thursday morning on his way to work. He was a Master-at-Arms with the Navy, stationed aboard the USS Enterprise. He recently returned from deployment in the gulf. He leaves behind a wife and 2 sons, Triston & Gavin. Gavin is 10 months old.
He was an active member of Enterprise Engine Company 1 of the New Hyde Park Fire Department
The viewing is Thurs & Fri at the New Hyde Park Funeral Home, 506 Lakeville Road New Hyde Park, NY 11040.
On Saturday there will be a procession from the funeral home 9:30am to the crematory at St. Michael's Cemetery in East Elmhurst for an 11:30am prayer service.
A few days after the cremation, there will be a full military color guard burial at a cemetery to be determined.
Donations, in lieu of flowers, can be made to the Robby Miner Memorial Fund for the children's college fund can be given to the family or mailed to 517 N.2nd St, New Hyde Park, NY 11040.
Thank you,
Rob Miner
