Recent edition shows alot of buoys are off station. Anyone going in early better use their old tracks and not buoys!

Shinnecock Bay East Channel Buoy 1
Fire Island Inlet Lighted Buoy 4
Great South Bay Lighted Buoy 38
Dickerson Channel Buoy 3
Bellport Bay Lighted Buoy 11
Narrows Bay Lighted Buoy 5
Moriches Bay Lighted Buoy 24

Also looks like there will be a air show this year:

To accommodate the Jones Beach State Park Air Shows, the Meadowbrook and Wantagh State Parkway Bridges, both across Sloop Channel at mile 12.8 and at mile 15.4 respectively, need not open for the passage of vessel traffic on Saturday May 25, 2013 and Sunday May 26, 2013 between 2:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. Mariners are advised to plan their transits accordingly.

Plus note the issues with bridges around Wantagh and Reynolds those of you over there!

Thanks Dave.

I would assume they will place the FI buoy when they are done dredging. As far as Reynolds, they are working on the Atlantic Beach Bridge but that should not impact anyone without a tower or a tall FB at high tide. Boats go through the second span all the time with riggers up. The RR bridge seems to now be operating. The Wantagh bridge has been under construction FOREVER so that is the same BS different year.

I hope it is the Blue Angels again. I like them better.

With the sequestration going into effect today there may be no show this year. Perhaps the pres could curtail his recent pointless use of Air Force 1.
