We have always been cruiser style boaters. however, with a growing family and 2 dogs we decided we needed more space. We are just about to wrap up a deal for a 2003 44CMY. It has Cummins Diesels (370) and all the toys. Any info on this boat would be greatly appreciated. We would love to hear from other owners as to how they like, use, etc. this boat.

I looked at 3 and considered buying one.

Underpowered and not good on fuel. Layout is great.

We bought a 2001 444 about 2 years ago. We loved the layout. We changed from a 32' Bayliner which was a bit small. We have been very happy. We have a house at the marina but prefer the boat over the week end. Just love it.
Regards,
Mark

no better engines than those Cummins. just be certain they are propped right, makers tend to overprop for actual loaded conditions.

The deal is done and we took ownership on Saturday. The boat is just great. Lots of space and we couldn't be happier. Took her for a sea trial on Wednesday and it ran great. A little bit of growth on the bottom and props but that will be taken care of next weekend when we head up the Hudson to see the foliage. Still have some time left here in NY to boat. I will be leaving her in water for the winter so I can use her until mid-November and then winterize. Thanks all for your responses.

Congrats on the new boat. This is a very nice model good luck with her. Regards Bill

Congrats !!

Note to self : Joe doesn't waste any time :)

Joe: do you hit rated max rpm at wot???? If not fix that asap. it maybe 3000???

we hit 2900. surveyor said it was because boat had sat in water all summer and was not used. as we were going, it did start to clean off and rise a little. heading up the Hudson to Catskill next weekend for fall foliage trip. that should clean most what is left off. will have it hauled and cleaned in the fall. Love the space on the boat.
