Macerator pump inline fuse

1983 Silverton Convertible. My macerator made a very brief noise and stopped working. Not another sound was made despite turning the switch several more times. No sign of trying to spin. My suspicion is that a jam up blew the fuse but I can't seem to trace the fuse location. There isn't one on the wires coming from the pump head.
Any ideas?

can you check the voltage at the pump?
If you have 12v then not a fuse or breaker.

Had one fail, opened it up and found the piston shaft had broken and jammed
the pump. Was able to purchase a replacement piston.
Not a fun job, but rubber gloves and a fan are helpful.
 
Isn't your boat's macerator powered through a breaker on the DC electrical panel?
Whether it is or not, there may also be an inline fuse within less than a foot of the battery or battery switch, protecting the wiring .
 
If the pump does have power, try tapping the shaft housing with a hammer. You might get a few more cycles out of it but it's likely a sign that it needs one of the three Rs: repair, rebuild, replace.
 
Reverse the wires and it will run backwards. Sometime they clog. Doing this unclogs it sometimes.
 
Thanks to all. The pump was fatally clogged. There was juice to the pump. Happily, I just pumped out the tank before the pump went south so it wasn't too messy of a job to replace the macerator.

I never did locate an in-line fuse despite looking nor does it have a separate breaker. No fuses blew.
 
I suggest you have an in-line fuse installed/ Having an unfused macerator could lead to an electrical fire if it jams. Cheap insurance. Hy
