Have no real plans for the up-coming weekend around Casco Bay or points north or south. In the past, we've dropped the hook off of Saco Bay and watched the fireworks from Kennebunkport north to Portland from that one spot. We may just stay put at the house and have a neighborhood raft-up to avoid the amateur tourists but could be open for other ideas. Anyone have any? What are you doing for the 4th?

Riverbed and anyone that wants to chime in.... We are heading N. for our first trip to Maine on 7-3. Leaving Narragansett Bay with a stop in Scituate MA on 7-4, Portsmouth on 7-5 and hopefully Casco the next day. We have to be in Boothbay for the Sabre/Back Cove rendezvous on 7-8.. Thereafer we will meander around, possibly hit Rockland or Camden before heading slowly back. Any suggestions, secret gunkholes mustd0 or most avoid opinions, or any sage advice you are willing to offer up would be greatly appreciated.
