That area near Chestertown is not a place where I would try to do over 50 mph particularly if there is other traffic on the river. Who would try to jump a large wake at 50 mph. At that speed water would act like a solid.

I was told that this man was a very experience racer. He raced in classes above 100mph.
Very sad!
