Last thing you all want to hear is another snowbird crowding in to Florida, but here goes:
I am doing some advance planning for winter 2007-2008. I want to move my boat to Florida for the winter months, somwhere in the Port St. Lucie to Boynton area. The boat is 61' LOA. We would spend up to a week at a time aboard the boat at the marina, but would cruise elsewhere for longer periods. Because we will be up north for extended periods I would want a marina that would maintain the boat while we are away. (wash, clean bottom, perhaps haul, and generally protect). This pretty much leaves out someones private dock. Immediate proximity to an inlet is less important than finding a secure, reputable outfit that can handle a boat this size.
Any advice on marinas with adequate facilities would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
