It seems like 2007/2008 will produce a lot of nice new docks.
Charlevoix, as recently discussed in the other thread is sporting an inmpressive addition of floating piers and finger docks that replace the forever-frustrating and inadaquate setup of the past.
Mackinac Island is all new too. Unfortunately, they're not adding slips, but it looks like some of the previous slips will be more usable after the renovation.
Gore Bay has been redone. They changed the layout and added slips.
I recently read about Middle Bass Island, but the article left me confused. It suggested that the renovations will close the harbor for the 2008 season. I don't completely understand that, as the state docks (south basin) are only a few years old. Do they mean that the entrance and/or north basin will be closed?
Has anyone heard of any other projects this year?
