So we have guests coming into town that want to take the boat to for a Saturday (day game atYankee stadium. The boat is typically kept near sandy hook; are there any marina option close to the stadium?

This is the closest one. Not sure if they accept transients thou....

IIRC There is a Water Ferry that goes to the stadium. A private, locked dock is in the harlem River near the stadium for that purpose. Perhaps you could take your boat to the marina that the ferry departs from.

Here is a link to the ferry information.

Ouch....this does not look like the best of ideas; people assume that since we live in NJ that we are experts in all things NYC; there is nothing further from the truth. We are transplants from Pittsburgh, a town where to get wherever you want to go you get in the car and drive.

I took the water ferry once and seem to recall the ferry pulling up to the bulkhead as opposed to a marina. I really can't recall a marina in the area. You could go all the way up to tarrytown or perhaps yonkers and take Metro North down to 125th street then the four train up to 161st street / Yankee Stadium. Or, take the boat to a nice bar and watch the game from there!

Thats why you should go to a METS game. Worlds Fair Marina is across the street.

LOL!!!

Better yet, pull into Liberty Landing, plug in the cable and watch the Yanks on television. You'll save a ton of money and get a better view!!!

Or, you can try one of the marinas to the north and take Metro North/subway into the city. Again its clunky and expensive but doable...

I'm with Pete on this one . . .!!!!

I could prolly watch it from my marina, but that dang 40' flybridge is blocking my satalite reception . .. Oh well, we'll have to settle for some video games and a cold soda!
