...but I think yesterday was the busiest day on the river this year by far!

Took a run up to Torches and the river was pretty packed.

Anyone else notice that? I guess it was a final hooray before the boats get pulled.

I was'nt boating, as we decided to go camping in the Poconos, which runs a close second to boating. When I spoke with a close friend today, his first comment was about how heavy the traffic was especialy between Bear Mountain Bridge and West Point.

I agree. We took another couple out and Haverstraw bay was pretty crowded. There were some pretty big wakes going in all different directions. We anchored down by the TZ to do some fishing and one of my guests almost hurled because we just kept rolling back and forth.

On the way down we got overtaken by a 68 foot beast. It was a beautiful boat, but the captain was throwing a huge wake that sent everyone around for ride. He passed me and a sailboat at the same time and all I can say is there were some unhappy sailors.

Dropped off the lame passenger and went back out to get rid of the rest of the bait.

Also REALLYYY low tide at around 3!

It was empty today, took a ride to Cold Spring, the water was completely flat and hardly any boats out.

The way you dock, gees now wonder :)

It was very quiet on the ICW between Avalon and Cape May but you guys probably don't want to hear that. :D

Dan

Thats because no one uses that part of the ICW anymore! Way too shallow!!!

I thought they only let boats 30' or under into Cold Springs Mike or did you take giggitty?

John we saw to massive Carvers on the move today. Play the tides, no problemo. Move at low tides and trust the charts, like we did, and you are screwed. Mid to High tide only! There were massive boats back here.

I hear ya Dan. That was never my favorite part of the ICW. Always prefer going outside if it was safe enough.

We zipped up on Giggity, it's nice to be able to go fast!

I was in my !#$%^E! bilges all day today. The view behind the cockpit was nice, though...

We went for a last ride on Saturday, stayed over night for the last time this year. Monday I winterized as much as possible in the water, come out Saturday, wrapped next week...stick a fork in me...I'M DONE!

It was like glass on both Saturday and Sunday. Sunday we were only permitted to use the South dock at Cold Springs. The PT Boat from Kingston was on tour.

We have been almost done for weeks. Winterized the water and AC systems a few weeks ago. Dropping her off at Patsy's this weekend. I'll winterize the engines next weekend and that will be it. maybe the market will rebound some more and I can sell it.
