On Tuesday, December 13, at 8AM at the offices of the Chamber of Southern Saratoga County, 15 Park Ave Ste 7, Clifton Park NY 12065, we will be hosting a meeting to explore the possibilities of having more commercial barges plying the Erie and Champlain Canals bringing deliveries of raw materials and products to and from the communities of southern Saratoga County and beyond.
Attendees will include representatives from DonJon Marine (a commercial barge transport company), Luther Forest Technology Campus, GLOBALFOUNDRIES, Momentive Performance Materials, the New York State Canal Corporation, Saratoga EDC, Boating on the Hudson Magazine, and various local interests. Anyone can attend and if you have a business interest that might include transportation of materials to/from upstate New York this might be worth checking out.
Only in Saratoga County can we even have the audacity to have the world's most advanced semiconductor manufacturing facility in the same room as a tugboat company. But that's why its a special place up here! I'll keep you all posted on any interesting outcomes.
