I had to tear down my Mercury V6 outboard due to some damage to one cylinder. I had to pull all the pistons out to inspect them and the bores. My question is can I resuse the old rings if they are in spec. The engine was rebuilt only about 2 years ago with light usage. The cross hatching is still evident in all the bores except the one that I will refurbish. Will the old rings have any problem re-seating after being removed from the bores? Thanks..Fred
