The boat is inside the marine service shop for past few days.
 
The got the outdrive off. Output shaft was stuck in the coupler, looked a little rusty and grease was hardened. So the proper grease was not used in 2019 when drive was pulled.

Now they will get into the drive to determine the metal sheds in gear oil.
 
The forward gear in the upper housing has 2 teeth chewed up. So either rebuild the current or replace the upper housing.
