Can anyone tell me how long it takes to go from Middle River area to St. Michaels at a cruise speed around 25 knts? Any other suggestions for a destination? Never made a trip for the purpose of going to a town like St. Michaels or Annapolis.

My charts show that as about 40 miles (sorry - 35 knots), plus the no-wake zone through Kent Narrows.

Takes me about 1 hr. 45 min. I always give myself 2 hours, though, just in case conditions warrant slowing some.

Thanks guys, I think I will opt for a little shorter trip. Maybe I'll just hang out in annapolis for the weekend.

It took me a 1 45 mins from the mouth of the river to St Michaels going through the narrows.Matter of fact we are going down to St Michaels this Saturday

Not sure how far back in the river you are, but from Frog Mortar Creek it takes us about the same as the rest of the group. At about 22 knots, it takes about an hour and three quarters running through the cut at Hart Miller, across the bay through Kent Narrows and down to St. Michaels. St. Michaels is the best. Make a reservation for your slip if you're going on a weekend night. (or during the week, for that matter, this time of year)

We are at the end of frog mortar creek at Chesapeake Yachting Center, got our reservation for sat night no problem at the st michaels marina

Enjoy your trip. We've also had several great (casual) meals this summer at a new wood-fired oven place called Ava's, which is a 3-minute walk. Get the meatball sliders appetizer. Seriously.

Thanks for the input guys. We are at Bowleys so right at the mouth. I'm kind of thinking we will wait until later in September when we won't want to be soaking in the water. That way we enjoy a nice boat ride and walk around town without wishing I was in the water. I guess its Fairlee Creek this weekend, hoping the storms hold off Sat.
