Bacteria levels aren't tested on recreational boats - the degree of chlorine produced, which is in direct proportion to the amount of bacteria neutralized, is the test. That is indicated, again, by warning indicator lights when it falls below a normal level, and outright shutdown when it falls below an acceptable level. The unit tells the owner when it becomes less effective, through warning lights.

Can you be more specific? Which lights mean what.
Are you saying it will not work at all if it is not "disinfecting" sufficiently?
Will the lights act differently if it is used for liquid waste only?
