I took my boat a couple of weeks ago. I lost power when I was ready to come into the ramp. This is what I did and I dunno why but it was a reaction. I was doing around 25 to 30 mph, I turned and switched the key to the off position, no...I didnt went down on the throttle. Anyway, it didnt wanted to crank up after that...so I got towed, replaced the battery and the next night I cracked it up outside in the trailer as I was getting ready to take it out next morning...I saw a litte of white smoke but I figured it would be ok, so I turned it off.
I put it in the water next morning and the baby didnt wanted to stay on...it cranks, power is fine and gas pumps right into the carb but it wont stay on...If I let the switch go the engine dies.
What would that be? any idea?
