Just wonderin' what you're favorite restaurants are on the nautical mile. I usually take my boat atleast once a week there over the summer. My favorite has gotta be Rachel's. They have the best stuffed flounder, and very good fried calamari.

See ya out there!

Jerimie's Ale House. A real dive but a good place to people watch with outdoor seating street side, cheap food, huge beer selection and free limited dockage.

42 woodcleft. Had the best soft shell crabs I ever tasted there.

i like 42 woodcleft and racheland crab schack i heard nautilis is real good

Rachel's - we are there every almost every Sunday, summer and winter. Docking is often difficult in the summer, though. Jeremy's is also excellent for fried seafood, and 1/2 the price of Bracco's.

Is THE SPLASH still open ??? Their outdoor bar is nice.

Slats,
Even with the new public dock at the end. ( adj to gas dock )

Ive never see nanyone but seagulls there...

There's a new public dock? The only public one that I know of is the one thats' about 3/4 the way down on the left side by the groverbuilt boat on display...

42 and eb eliots are both quite good for a brew and a burger. Nautilus Cafe if you want to sit and get formal is excellent also. I used to eat regularly at Rachels until a waitress made a big deal about leaving our boat in the slip too long after our meal. I didn't think an extra 15 minutes to grab an ices at ralph's was that big a deal; especially when we were the only boat in any of there slips.
have fun

Splash is not open yet (at least as of this past weekend), do not know if they are going to open this year - there have been a few changes in ownership and management in several Nautical Mile restaurants over the past year. As for the new dock at the end of the mile, it did not look complete the last time I was down there, seemed they were still working on it. I also heard a rumor that it is going to be privately owned, but again, that is rumor and not confirmed.

NO no... freeport town installed the dock. Its free and was open all last summer...

One of the resturants offered to run it .. the dock keep it clean etc... but wanted to charge for dockage... Two nsaid its public and free.... But they dont clean it... the gulls since its not used have made a mess of it ....

If more people use it ... it would get more attention... the dock 3/4 up the canal piss's me off... every time i ago some j/o in a dingy ties up in the biggest slip and his commercial clam buddies take the other...

Theres no one to stop it... So we go in the spring and the fall... or during the week....
