Hat's off to Spike for organizing the second NECC gathering in Providence at Zoomas! The restaurant's location in the city's Federal Hill area was like a scene from the Godfather but we all got out safely. I ordered the Broken Leg of Lamb. Given the sparce on-line chatter about the event - I've got to say I was blown away by the number of folks who attended! Rhode Island certainly has a lot of boaters - and I guess they don't all post on line! Spike had an impressive classic boat restoration presentation that hopefully he'll post shots of in here. There may also be reports of Spike dancing to the sounds of a band that only he can tell you the name of. I've been sworn to secrecy, Spike - care to post photos and more info?

Riverbed - good thing we got out when we did - was getting rowdy - those RI folks know how to do it - the bar tender had his hands full shooing the dancing girls away from the top of the bar. In all the commotion, wouldn't you know, the camera was stolen - so no pictures of the event. Glad no one got hurt. Next time we'll probably need to hire a bouncer.
