anybody have a recommendation for broker in our area.
i'm looking to sell.
thanks

You are the 6th person this week I have heard of selling their boat...I should say, 6th person since Monday! Yikes!

I'm guessing if it has IPS it has to be only a year or so old.

Getting out of boating Rob?

Have you tried Boattrader.com vided?

Not sure. Part of me want a bigger boat and part wants a small center console. Neither can happen until I suck up the giant loss that I am upside down in for buying a brand new boat.

If you want to work showing your boat yourself, I would use Tony (Woodsong here on BE) to get it listed on Yacht World. I saw your asking price in the classifieds. I think you should re-evaluate your asking price if you want to move the boat quickly. For 60k more than your asking you can buy a 2007 (brand new) Silverton 45C. Just an FYI. Also Tony could let you know what the boat should sell for.

Tony is very helpful and I believe would present you boat on the internet better than anyone else. You should at the least speak with him, he is a wealth of information in this arena.

If you moving up, you will steal the next boat you move into if you shop around, ton's of unbelievable deals out there. I was looking to move up, then Tony told me what to expect to get for my boat, and decided against it.

Best of luck

Walter

In order to sell a boat nowadays, you have to lowball it, there are too many boats for sale out there at rock bottom prices.

Absolutely. It's insane what I just paid for my 2006. One of the reasons I jumped in is that I don't expect to ever see a market like this again in a long, long time.

I agree now is not the time to sell, if you are looking to upgrade or move up now is the time to buy. With all the short sales and overstocked dealer/manufactures promotions a 1 or 2 year old boat's and repos it will be almost impossible to sell without losing your shirt. I second what Walter said get ahold of Tony he can give you an honest proffesional opinion.

Well that must suck... How much will you loose on that?

It will affect your credit score (-). I'd look for options with the bank because they will get a judgement and unless you want the hassle of bankruptcy you will end up paying one way or another.
I have heard banks will allow you to pay just the intrest on the note hoping you will be in a better position if this economy ever improves. It pays to try and negotiate it sure beats a repossesion.

My friend John is doing that. The bank doesn't want his boat back so he's makes just interest payments for now.
Its worth a try to talk to your bank ??.
