Anyone recommend someone to repair my Generator. Just about ready to throw the towel in on trying to fix. Getting gas and spark. Replaced diesel solenoid and plugs. Going to try and clean the carb and if that doesn't work, I give up. Boat is in Lindenhurst.

Its a gas generator, but has a anti diesel solenoid that when bad can cause a no start. Took the carb home and cleaning it and going to reinstall tomorrow and see if that it. If that's not it I am going to have to throw in the towel and call someone.

Thanks for the info. Looks like I got if fixed. Took the carb home and took it apart and soaked it in seafoam. Q tipped and blew out all the passages with a compressor and installed today, ran good. We will see how long. Just an FYI there is a Kohler generator dealer in Farmingdale, MTS Power who has a very knowledgeable parts person, plus they seemed to have a good selection of hard to find parts on hand.

Glad it was an eas fix. If you decide to get the carb done in the off season, Allstate Carburetor in Central Islip is great.
I’ve brought a bunch of car and boat carbs to him over the last 15 or 20 years and never had a problem with any of them.

I used MTS for my last boat, they're very good-they used to be in Westbury
